An introduction to Art & FI.
As an Artist there are many challenges and roadblocks along one's career. The intention of this blog is to help Artists with support and valuable information that will make the journey more sustainable and hopeful. For other career paths it's usually more linear, but for creatives it's more of a roller coaster ride of emotions and situations. One of the reasons why I'm trying to help is because my experiences have been overly arduous as an Artist and I believe that it doesn't necessarily have to be that way for passionate individuals who are trying to make it. I wish there was more professional guidance for me earlier on and truthfully to this day, I wish there was more info about possibilities for the future clearly laid out for Artists as well.
The Art field is interesting because there are a multitude of variables that are taking place all at once. There are key components to be mindful of during the process as a whole. The FI of "Art & FI" is an acronym for Financial Independence. As artists we're independent thinkers already so it makes sense to work towards being financially independent as well.
I've been in the Art field and on my journey for quite some time now, It's been around 3 decades so far and I believe it's a good time to share some quality info that may be of use. I'll share more of my story in a different article. Each article will generally cover a different topic or subject. I believe that what I'll be sharing will positively benefit others on this type of career path and I'm grateful to be in a helpful position.
Where are you physically? This blog is wide reaching because it's available to the world. I'm hoping that you'll discover that wherever you are in the world, that you'll be able to apply some of the ideas that I share to improve your practice.
This is a lifelong path for me, so I'm consistently working on learning and putting in to practice through experimentation different strategies that will keep the dream alive. It will be important for us to implement and take action on these ideas everyday. We don't have to have too much pressure or anxiety about it, as long as you are making some type of progress everyday, the results are accumulative and it's only a matter of time before you feel and are accomplished. This can potentially bring much fulfillment and peace of mind throughout your lifetime.
