"The Breakthroughs"
We create our own breakthrough moments throughout our lifetime. In order for an individual to take effective action on the activities that will take them to the next step, they need the motivation and inspiration.
Being an artist for decades has helped me mold a different thought process that enables me to continue to experience moments of progress. Sometimes to simplify the mindset I'll think, I have to do this next action or my survival will get even more challenging. Like, Sink or swim.
I've dealt with debilitating depression in my history and I understand the experience of procrastination. It's not helpful or fun.
There are tools that we can utilize that can help us to take action and stay motivated when getting through the many steps of a project(s).
Your thoughts and self talk make a big difference on how you navigate through challenges and tasks. Taking the time to question the thoughts that aren't helpful and replacing those thoughts with ones that will get the ball rolling in a better direction is useful. It takes consistent practice, but it's worth the time.
Who you listen to and talk with can also make a difference in your performance. It's good to associate with people who are working on and have worked through adversity as well and have made amazing changes and breakthroughs throughout their time. Psychologists/therapists are helpful for different perspectives and helping you with mental tools for working through your moments of struggle. Supportive friends and family goes a long way. If you feel you need it, reach out to someone that you believe would be helpful. We can only hope that our tribe wants us to do well and helps out where they can. In return, when you have breakthroughs and are making progress, it helps others around you through inspiration and lifting them up to give them a boost to make progress on their own work.
I've done my own personal studies and research on how to break up and disrupt patterns of activity that are not productive. For example, you can have a mental timer for an activity that wasn't planned ahead of time and when your mental timer goes off, it's time to question whether to keep doing the activity or switch to something that will better serve your time.
Negotiating with yourself and others is also part of the breakthrough process. Learning and practicing good negotiation skills will further your progress in any area and it helps you to understand yourself and others more.
Having discipline to consistently make changes and work on the activities that you love is worth the effort. If you fill your time with the things you feel called in life to do, it will make you more productive and fill you with energy to conquer more tasks. Also, having an understanding and acceptance that almost always there are going to be roadblocks on the journey to making breakthroughs helps to manage them, and to keep working on the task until you make your way past the challenges.
We have to believe in ourselves that we can do it, and to consistently try to improve our experiences as we navigate through time. Know that there are many individuals rooting for you. I hope that you keep moving forward and surprise yourself with the breakthroughs that you achieve!
